Samson: The Final Judge
The boys sit down with author, speaker, and Jesus pursuer Tony Kriz to look for some clarity about finding truth in a world bombarding us with truth tailored to suit our own desires. They also dip into the mailbag and answer a letter about relapses and slips. Today the boys talk with Tony Kriz about the miraculous gift of story, and the discipline of slowing down enough to engage the one God has put us in.

Catherine Etherington is an empathetic and articulate mother-of-two from England who has helped hundreds of women come to terms with the news that they have been sleeping with a sex addict. Here's a taste of her wisdom:. Nate: Some Christian women are told that their responsibility towards a repentant spouse or even an unrepentant one is to forgive and forget. Is that true? Is it even possible? Are there healthier alternatives that produce healing?
We are the Samson Society. Nate Larkin is founder of the Samson Society, a group for men who are looking for male friendship, dare I say it? It is a group for men who have tried to do the Christian life on their own and have found it impossible. It is a group that anyone can begin, without cost, without contracts, without hassle. I have long observed that men tend to do pretty poorly with friendship. Larkin was there. From the early days of his marriage he developed bad habits which, in time, grew into outright addiction.

Samson and the Pirate Monks is a story about a fellowship of men—men who are helping one another to take off their pious masks and bear their souls to each other. The cover of the book, complete with pirate ship and scull-and-crossbones flag, will probably either confuse you or make you want to read it more. Truthfully, when I first picked up the book I expected a more gritty, rugged, man-up-to-Jesus, Wild-at-Heart rip-off. Author Nate Larkin first caught my attention in a Christianity Today cover story last year about sexual addiction in the church. Larkin spells out his own story of porn and prostitutes in Samson with stark honesty.
